When he finishes his classes in the Technical school, where he works as a professor, Željko Gavrić from the city of Valjevo, Serbia, puts his grade book and takes the tools in order to help his workers in the car body shop "Beli".

He is probably the only auto shop worker in Serbia whose customers address him "Professor".

This man from the city of Valjevo has been working both as the professor and the auto shop worker.

Throughout his career, he said, he has seen many things, but he adds that he enjoys working and that is not a problem for him to take the stained suit after the school is finished, put his gloves on and start changing tires.

- I like working with people and my customers have been coming here for a long time. I give my best to please everybody, but sometimes this is not possible. During winter time it is the worst because many people wait for the snow to fall to get winter tires. Then they come to the shop and expect everything to be done instantly - says Gavrić.

This auto shop worker adds that women are his best customers and that they are least demanding.

- Most women do not know much about this area. They come and say what they need and they have no further requests. With men it is a bit different but I can also deal with them very fast Once an older gentleman came for me to change his tires. When I finished the job he looked at me, displeased, and asked why had not I used a hammer to apply the tires in a more secure manner. He said that he used to work for the "Mercedes" during the 60s and that he saw that there.  I took the hammer, did what he asked and he was satisfied even though what he asked has been out of practice for a long time - says Gavrić.

He had a lot of work to do lately when 30 cm of snow painted the entire city white.

- There were many customers and they all wanted winter tires. However, one of them approached me and asked for the summer ones. I looked at him bewildered because the whole city was laden with snow, but he explained that he needed the tires for the next season and I sold them to him with pleasure - states Gavrić.

Numerous customers often say that Gavrić is the best auto shop worker among professors and the best professor among auto shop workers!
