Following the story about the math task of a Texas banker which not even the famous retired math professor Vene Bogoslavov, the author of the famous math workbook could not solve, we asked the students of Mathematical grammar school who achieved great success in Kazakhstan if they could find the solution.

One of the students gladly accepted to try to reach the solution.

He started calculating, but since this problem takes a lot of time to be solved,we did not want to "torture" him with it.

We decided to give him some time to get some rest from the trip and competition where 450 students from 19 different countries took part, and he said he would call us when he finds the solution.

The school principal Srđan Ognjanović stated that he is very proud of his students achieving such a huge success at the Math Olympiad in Kazakhstan.

- This is a huge success in the year when we celebrate 50 years' history of the school. Our students have won medals before, but still, this is one of the biggest because it came unexpected- said Ognjanović, thus adding:

- I did not hope for the success like this. Many students from the Russian schools took part at the competition, and we looked upon them, but now I can freely say that we beat them.

Students from Serbia won 6 medals.

Ognjen Tošić and Aleksa Konstantinov won gold medals, and Aleksa Milojević won the silver medal.

Apart from the medals in mathematics, Mihajlo Sporić won gold medal in physics, while  Dušan Novičić won a bronze medal.

David Milićević won a bronze medal in Information technology.
