An 9-year-old Uroš Zlatković from the town of Prokuplje will definitely have a bright future and he will probably become a scientist, because his games are small experiments with which he fills his free time.

This kid, top of his class in the school, instead of playing with a ball or small cars, prefers to make windmills, irrigation system, he disassembles and again assembles watches, or makes a mini washing machine with his father.

His inventions are an attraction for his friends who often visit him just to enjoy in them.

The interest for mechanisms, how they are made and how they work originally sprouted with watches.

- When he was a year and a half old, he got his first watch, and up until the age of 5 they became his obsession. While the other kids chose balls or small cars, he always wanted just watches. Everybody knew this, so they used to bring them to him. I really do not know how many watches he now has - says his mother Gorica.

Also, she says that his interest transferred to everything which has a motor or a mechanism.

- I like to disassemble and again assemble things. Since I am still a child, I do not work with electricity, just with batteries. That is how I made a windmill operating on batteries and last summer I made an irrigation system in the yard. I like engineering and I hope to become a scientist and invent something which would make the life easier for everybody - says Uroš, who was observing electrical transformers when the news crew arrived.

Now he decided to use old landline phones to make a small central, and he already started doing it.

Still, the biggest machine he made was a mini washing machine, which his father Goran helped him create.

- At first I thought that he would lose interest, but he spent days talking about it. Then we went and made it together. The program and everything in the machine except the doors we made ourselves, because he wanted it that way. It took us 30 hours of labor but the happiness on his face was the prize itself - says Goran.

That machine and some other child-scientific inventions are drawing attention of his friends who often come to play with him and his inventions, and he presents them proudly.

- I like school, I like to play on the street, but I like the most to build things. Now I am interested in measure instruments - says Uroš.

Even though his parents were skeptic at the beginning because of his interest for the engineering, they supported his affinities.

They know he is a happy boy, and they believe he has a bright future.
