This is a result of the introduction of one of the solutions from the study on traffic in the city, which could be simply be described as a conversion of center in a rather expensive parking.
Citizens of Dubrovnik and supply vehicles would be exempt from the regime.
At the western entrance to the city there will be ramps "or other barriers" that will control the flow of vehicles to the city center.
Green light will be turned on for local people and vehicles with permits, and yellow for the other cars that will pay 40 kunas (13 Euros) per hour of stay at the exit of the center on one of the two locations. The very passing or retention of up to 60 minutes will not be charged.
The aim of the city administration, according to Vlahušić, is not to earn but to bring order and reduce pressure on the city center. Namely, this is not the first place in the Balkans that charges the entrance, the same is the case with Sveti Stefan in Montenegro.
