A village for migrants is being built in Belgrade

In ten days, a reception-transit center for refugees is set to open in Belgrade that will house about 2,000 people.

There, the refugees will be able to rest, refresh, take a shower ... It is anticipated that one of the possible locations be in the neighborhood of the Wholesale Market, which will grants migrants from the Middle East, Afghanistan, Sudan, on their journey to the EU through Serbia, shelter from rain, snow and cold weather to come.

The reception center will provide migrants with hot meals, beds, medical care ... A counter to withdraw money is also anticipated. There is a possibility that they will be directly moved from Presevo to this new center, serving as a stopover on their way to the Hungarian border.

The Afghan sought shelter from the rain in the parking lot at the Faculty of Economics. She is on her way to Germany with her family. They spread blankets and cardboard on the wet asphalt. - I headed for Germany but I ran out of money. My friends sent me money via "Western Union", but I do not have a passport so I can not pick it up - said Vahid.

One owner of a fast food joint provided them with a place where they can recharge their mobile phones - in the window is a hole into which is placed a power strip with five sockets. There, we found five youths who were trying to charge their phones, they are headed for Germany. With fingers they mimic scissors, indicating that they will cut Hungary's wire fence with them.
