WAITER SAVO FOUND A BAG WITH 42.000 Euros: He returned the money, and then something happened to him that no one expected!

Believe it or not, honest citizens in Serbia still exist, and the best example is young waiter Savo Petrovic (21) from Ljubovija, who found a woman's bag with as much as 42,000 euros and credit cards, and without thinking twice, took it to the police.

But, on the other side of this story, nobody thanked him for his good deed even a week later.

As he says, he was working a second shift at a cafe "Kutak 015", and served guests on the terrace. When he went to the table to take a cup, after the guests had left, he saw a bag on the chair.

- I brought it into the bar and immediately called the constable who was near because I knew that the guests, two women and two men, were not from Ljubovija. We looked at the documents and saw that we did not know the woman, and saw a lot of money in the bag with lots of credit cards. We called the police station, they came and took the bag - says Petrovic.

The hero of this story continued to mind his own business, and on the same day in the evening, the policemen brought him the proceedings in which he found that there were 42,000 euros in the bag!

- I signed my statement, but I can not believe the amount of money in question. Who carries that kind of money around, and how can you forget a bag with such riches? - Asks Savo in surprise.

According to him, no one called to thank him. However, he learned that the owner is from Loznica, and claimed the bag, confirming that nothing was missing.

Nevertheless, the young honest waiter does not care much that no one thanked him, but also ignores criticism from those who say he should have kept the money.

- Some tell me that I'm crazy for returning that much money, but I would do the same again. I am sure that the majority would do the same thing, even those who criticize me - says Savo modestly, a machine technician who makes a living working as a waiter until he finds a job in his field of study.
