BELGRADE WATERFRONT CONSTRUCTION BEGINS: Here's when exactly!

The foundation stone for the project "Belgrade waterfront" will take place on the last week of September, said Belgrade Mayor Sinisa Mali adding that it is a matter of days when the announced agreement of the project will be posted on the website of the Serbian government and that it will definitely be done before laying the stone foundation.

- We promised to start with construction in September. That promise will be fulfilled. There are still many people who do not believe in it. I think that this cornerstone will reassure many - said Mali in response to reporters' questions about the start date of the project's construction.

As stated, the date of laying the foundation stone is mapped out and will take place on the last week of September, depending on the organization Alabbar.

Mali says that from August 1st of last year, much has been done, stating that 235 buildings were torn-down in the district where the first phase of Belgrade Waterfront would begin, adding that Hercegovačka street will be open in a dozen days, much like the reconstructed part of the Promenade which is expected to open on September 21st.

- I thought this could all be a lot faster, but lawyers define when and which documents are delivered. The contract is complex- a major project is in question - Mali said, adding that the agreement will be on the site of the Serbian government allowing those interested to read every detail pertaining to it.
