For the past two and a half years she was living in an apartment, when, three weeks ago, the landlady threw her out on the street with all her belongings, for no apparent reason, says Danica.
- I do not know why she did it, I paid rent and all amenities on time and there was no reason to do something like that, especially not in this way. I paid everything regularly. She threw my stuff in front of the neighbors who were upset because they did not what was going on.
Serbia, HAVE YOU NO SHAME? From a war hero to a homeless man! (PHOTO)
Danica says the landlady came over one day came and locked her in the apartment.
- She came in and locked me together with her in the apartment, she did not even allow my nephew to bring me food, even though I recently underwent a surgery twice.
Danica says that she has no family and relatives other than a nephew who does not live here, but came to take her from the hospital after surgery.
- He came to help me when I was leaving the hospital, and now he is looking for a new apartment for me. He lives in Thailand, where he is married and has a child.
At the end of the conversation Danica uncovered something amazing: she is the granddaughter of the former Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Serbia, Milovan Milovanovic.
Yes, the granddaughter of the man who ruled Serbia from 1911 to 1912. and was also a respected judge, state councilor and minister of justice.
We asked her if people approached her, to help her, to talk to her.
- They do, but you know how, some come and bring me food and talk nicely to me, and there are those who in some way ridicule me. I survived a lot in my life, so I'll get through this - said Guteša whose gaze strayed off into the distance.
And you know what? After completing the interview, we turned around and went on about our business, but she stopped us.
- Take a little, come on, it's nice.
In all her pain and lack of money she offered us white grapes. She only had a little left and still decided to share it with us, people she sees for the first time in her life. If her heart is that big even after various misfortunes that have befallen her in life, we are sure she will find a solution to her housing problem.
We hope that, at the time this article comes out, Danica finds shelter, and that she does not freeze on a bench alone, on a bench next to which stands a clothes hanger on which hang her crutches and a black coat, a woman covered by a cloak, the granddaughter of the former Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Serbia ...
