The complete roof on the "open" part of the animal shelter in Zlatarić has been replaced thanks to the donation of German woman Elisabeth Nikolic, who in the last three years has been living in the Valjevo village of Mrčić.

The Director of 'Vidrak "Djordje Milanovic says the German, who is otherwise an animal lover, financed the purchase of materials and complete work on the replacement of the roof to one of the two buildings that accommodate dogs. The entire project costs around 200,000 dinars.

- This donation is very important, because we, of course, by winter have to replace the roof on this part of the shelter - said Milanovic.

Elisabeth, who is currently in Germany, moved to the village Mrčić near Valjevo three years ago, and her late husband was a professor at the Valjevo Agricultural School. She praised the work of "Vidrak" and expressed readiness to continue helping the shelter for dogs in Zlatarić.
