More than a year ago, news traveled the world that Sandzak residents on Pester near Sjenica will build the largest mosque in Europe, with minarets of a height of more than 100 meters.

The construction of the Islamic center in Duga Poljana is in full swing, and a few days ago, the concreting of the foundation was completed.

According to initial information, for this project, 64 cubic meters of concrete has been used, while the piles are up to a depth of 20 meters.

Otherwise, the structure will have a minaret 98.5 meters high!

Money for the building that will be situated on 1,600 square meters is provided thanks to donations from around the world and, according to Effendi Tešrif Sacic, the mosques will have 15 domes.

- The head diameter of the dome will be 12 meters. This will be the most modern Islamic center with six minarets, four with a height of 45 meters and two of 99 meters, which remind us of the 99 beautiful names of Allah - said Sacic.
