The veterans, who in front of the Kosovo parliament, protested unhappily because they were not on the list that recognized them as such, threw bottles at Thaci and shouted: "Thief, thief". And most of the DPK MPs left the session. The Pristina Gazeta "Blic" on its portal announced that Thaci insists for his deputies to vote constitutional amendments that would allow the formation of a special court for war crimes committed by the KLA.
The Portal argues that the amendments will get the necessary support of 80 votes from deputies, but that Thaci fears that the vote approaches with such a narrow majority, and therefore continues to pressure MPs to convince them to vote "in favor".
Kosovapress Agency reported that Mustafa left the parliament to prepare the draft law on the establishment of a special court that will be, as expected, discussed at today's extraordinary session of the parliament.
SCANDAL! The EU recognizes Kosovo’s independence: This decision of Europe, SERBIA WILL NEVER ACCEPT!
Mustafa has announced an extraordinary session which will, as he said, during the day, receive the Draft Law of the Special Court, and the draft law on legal protection and financial support to potential defendants in legal proceedings that are conducted in the judicial institution.
However, the opposition does not deviate from its stance against the adoption of the constitutional amendments, the main argument in the debate was that it is unconstitutional to declare themselves again on constitutional amendments which the Parliament rejected on June 29.
Minister of PCC, Bekim Haxhiu said that the Special Court is a great injustice and that its formation is a political decision that opens the way for the preservation of partnership relations with the United States and other friendly countries.
The President of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, angered the veteran formation he led during the war in 1998 and 1999 because, under Western pressure, he agreed to support the establishment of the court for the crimes of the KLA.
