NO MORE OLD OAK: Sacred tree, 600 years old SECRETLY cut down during the night! (PHOTO)

The Oak tree in the village of Savinac, aged more than 600 years, was cut down last night, as announced by the local community.

- Oak - religious "icon" on the route of the highway Belgrade - South Adriatic, on the section from Ljig to Preljina, was cut down "without dignity" - said the presidential MZ Milisa Nikolic, and principals have done so in the dark, hiding it from the public.

- If the tree was to be cut down, it should have been so during the day, in the presence of a priest because that tree is sacred, aged over 600 years and does not deserve to be cut down when vampires come out to play - said Nikolic for Beta.

He pointed out that the villagers of Savinac will not approach the part of the city where the oak once was, nor will they organize any protests because it is already a done deal.

The cutting of the Oak tree was announced by the Minister of Civil Engineering, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic, and villagers incited her to come by and cut it down herself.
