IVANA, PRINCESS OF MONACO: Serbian athlete won the Diamond League meeting!

Ivana Spanović, the best Serbian athlete in the long jump, achieved her first victory at the Diamond League meeting and announced a great form for the upcoming World Cup!

Ivana's winning result in Monaco was one of the first batch - 6.87 meters.

This was followed by another far better jump compared to rivals - 6.79, in the third series Ivana risked more and transgressed. The fourth attempt was completed with a jump of 6.63 meters, and in the second to the last series she transgressed.

Her coach Goran Obradović wished a result between 6.80 and 6.90 meters, to maintain her form before the upcoming biggest challenge - the World Cup in Beijing!

Second place was won by the leader of the diamond race Tian Bartoletti (6.76), while  British Lorraine Ugen won third(6.73).

With this win, Spanović earned four points in the diamond race, which put her in fifth place overall. Bartoli is still leading.

This was the third meeting of the competition in which Spanovic participated this season. Last week in Lausanne, she achieved a score of 6.60, and had previously jumped in Doha, where he achieved a result of 6.76, which made her qualify for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.Otherwise, the rally in Monaco won her the award for the best competition during 2014.
