In the Hungarian town of Morahalom ends the trial fence that is aimed at stopping the increased number of migrants. The fence is three meters high instead of the initially announced four. The trial fence will consist of three parts, and it is now possible to see just two. One version of the fence will be with concrete blocks and metal wire, and the other with a metal frame.

This year, 80,000 migrants and refugees entered Hungary, mostly from war-torn countries such as Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan. A number of them are trying to reach the richer countries of the European Union through Hungary.

For the construction of the fence along the border with Serbia, Hungary will spend about 20 million euros, said Marton Gyöngyös, MP and vice president of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the Hungarian Parliament.

- This covers only the tangible costs of building the fence. The government has announced that it will participate in the construction in addition to prisoners and the unemployed, but the final costs will be much higher - considered Gyöngyös.
