However, we usually relate beauty to youth, but the truth is that we can in fact boast with beautiful grandmothers.

Recently, a competition was held in Belgrade for the most beautiful grandmother.

The jury, which was composed of public figures, unanimously decided the winner, Belgrade native, Ruzica Belaćević who is 68 years old.

It was in fact her son and and daughter-in-law that signed her up for this competition when they sent in a photograph that sparked positive reactions forcing them to send in another...

Ruzica's son Djordje Čolaković told Telegraf that his mother initially did not know about the competition and was indifferent until she got to the finals.

Otherwise, the competition for the most beautiful grandmother was attended by over 80 women, and ten found their way in the finals.

Voting took place on the portal "Balkanreporter" on Facebook, and a four-member jury (composed of Ognjen Amidžić, Zika Sarenica, talk-show host Rada Djuric and Zoran Kesic) took part in deciding the winner of the most beautiful grandmother award.

- I grew up in Topcider. I remember how we used to sleigh on the street, at that time there was no traffic... As for outings, during high school, and later during my studies, I went out only once a week on Saturdays - tells Ruzica for our portal and continues:

- At that time, outings consisted of tea parties that were organized for fellowships, and in the beginning I had to be at home by 8 pm, and later on, by 10 pm.

The most beautiful grandma of Serbia graduated from the 10th Belgrade High School and the Faculty of Technology, and today is the proud mother of three and grandmother of four.

- I have two sons and a daughter and four grandchildren. I am proud of my children ... All three are graduates - says the most beautiful grandmother.

She worked in music for a long time, and graduated primary and secondary music school. She plays the accordion and piano. Her daughter followed in her footsteps and finished the Academy of Music.

Ruzica Belaćević says that at the time she finished college, there was a big demand for software developers and that she decided to become a programmer which she did by entering the College for Applied Informatics.

During her career, she constantly worked on her education and progressed quickly in the business, and has been retired for the past eight years.

The most beautiful Grandma of Serbia is very young at heart and very active for her age. She does aerobics, and now enjoys going to the dance which she says is very relaxing.

- In addition to enjoying spending time with my grandchildren that I love, I go dancing. Before, I used to do aerobics and yoga. - says Ruzica.

She points out that she maintains her positive spirit by avoiding negative people.

Ruzica Djurdjevic has always stood out as a good student and very modest child, however, she has set aside something that she will remember for a lifetime; she had the opportunity to be a guest at Tito's birthday.

- I was in the seventh grade when the school director called me in for a talk and told me that because I was an excellent student, I was selected to attend the celebration of Tito's birthday. Fifty of us from all the states of Yugoslavia went - says the most beautiful grandmother and continues:

- I'll never forget going to the White Palace, it was a great experience. Tito shook hands with all of us and we talked for a bit. Afterwards, we had snacks and refreshments, among which were many fruits and sweets which I had never seen before. I remember it as a grand experience.

Her son, Djordje Čolaković says that he liked the idea of ​​promoting natural beautiful women and that's why he enrolled his mother.

- From the very beginning, the comments of her photos were positive, but she was somewhat indifferent and skeptical until she was in the finals - explains Čolaković.

The most beautiful grandmother adds that the second-placed competitor was extremely beautiful and mentions that were 80 women in the competition with her.

In this conversation with Ruzica, we assured ourselves that she is an extremely positive grandmother that is young at heart.
