However, when you look at their salaries and pensions, you can see a big difference in comparison to us.
For example, the average salary in Greece in 2014 amounted to 817 euros, while in Serbia that amount was 379 euros. It is quite obvious that this is a staggering difference - more than double!

When it comes to the standard of living, in Greece, the annual income per capita is 23,519 dollars, while in Serbia it is only 7,234 dollars.
A GREEK SCENARIO AWAITS CROATIA: The economy has been in recession for years, the EU is concerned!
- It is a fact is that we in Greece have higher incomes compared to your country, but our standard of living is also a lot higher, and consequently, taxes are a lot higher than in Serbia, especially since the economic crisis and austerity. The situation is the same with pensions, and the average Greek pensioner received 960 euros last month, while the average Serbian pensioner receives only 200 euros.
Of course, as well as wages, even here things aren't so rosy, so the proportion of monthly income of pensioners in GDP is 17.5 percent, while in Serbia it is 13.
Greece's public debt currently amounts to 323 billion euros, and ours is just over 25 billion.
Despite the fact that even our finances (Serbs) are not blooming, we almost unanimously jumped up and stood on their side when the austerity measures were put in place and the current difficult life is at stake, and almost nobody asks about us.
So, what do you think? Where is life better, in Serbia or Greece?
