Telegraf recently decided to check what security measures were in place in Belgrade, as well as the kind of security at key locations in the capital. We came to the conclusion that potential terrorists could, without any problems put a bomb at the airport "Nikola Tesla", as well as the main railway and bus station! We attempted to do so, and here's how it all went down.

Following news of the events in Macedonia, and the threat of terrorism to Serbia, we decided to examine the vigilance of security at key points of each city, such as the airport, the main railway and bus stations.

At the entrance, we saw a police patrol, which, in truth, legitimized two guys dressed in black coats, and we fortunately we passed.

In the waiting room there were only a few passengers and little attention was paid to a person with a black cap and a black backpack on his back, who was walking around it. At one point, on the ticket counter, I put down by bagpack with the "package", stepped away from it and even out of the station. A few minutes later I returned to the scene, but lo and behold, my bag was in the same place!

I go on, I'm coming to the platform, people are sitting on benches, and the train has arrived at the station. I walked over, dropped the bag next to them and I drifted away. No one paid attention, although only ten meters from my set "bomb" was a police station. After a few minutes, the military police patrol passed by my bag, but did nothing.

Since I was not discovered here, I decided not to waste my explosive on a few people and an old train, so I continued on.

The main bus station is crowded, which is not surprising because from there leave buses of all the routes in the country and beyond.

Nobody, however, did not care for the young man with a black cap and a black backpack. I walk into the waiting room, I approach the ticket office, buy a ticket, I leave my bag on the counter and distances myself. My "package" remained at the same spot, where several thousands of people pass by every day, for more than 15 minutes, enough to go to another part of town.

And here nothing, no one to stop, at least to touch the bag, people walk next to it, do not turn their heads for it and here there is non-stop patrolling of police and military police. Moving on...

Police minister: Response will be strong and uncompromising

Already at the entrance of the building, it becomes clear that this is a serious story, at the entrance are the members of the gendarmerie, police, ranger staff, but also the traffic police. My heart still trembled a little, but I managed to pass them.

At the door a buzzing camera immediately draws the attention that I was recorded, but I do not give up, in a black hat, I bow my head hiding my identity, I enter the airport.

I walk around the terminal, I admit, airport security is superb with cameras are on all sides, the police, the gendarmerie, it will be difficult, but no one pays any attention to me.

I decided to leave my bag next to an advertising pillar in the terminal where they perform the last check before boarding.

Lo and behold, more than 20 minutes no one pays attention to "my gift." Suddenly two workers with Article guards approache the pillar. I think, "I've been discovered." I looked to the left, right, where to run, but they were looking to the pillar, standing beside my bag but do not notice it.

Uh, well, I have not been discovered. Suddenly, that same worker kicks my bag and moves it to the end, because he was bothered when he tried to get closer to the pillar. When they performed their duty, they left, and the black "killer bag" remained.

Security expert Zoran Dragisic when asked to comment on our actions was first surprised, and then expressed gratitude for this act as we pointed out the vulnerability of the system.

- If it is indeed possible that a journalist does all this, it is a good signal to the security services to raise their operational capability to a higher level and thereby remove all critical points. We need to acknowledge your act, as you pointed out the vulnerability of the system for the sake of our better security - says Dragisic for Telegraf.

He explains that terrorist attacks can never be excluded, but with good work of security structures there is a possibility to brings such acts to a minimum.

- These are things that simply can not be prevented, and Serbia itself has no potential for intelligence information at that level. To be understood, something like that cannot even be carried out by the CIA and that only by working together can all services be ready for such an action - explains Dragisic.

Marko Nicović told Telegraf that Serbia is generally dormant and unprepared for terrorist acts.

- Serbia and its structure are very clam and guided by the motto "it will not happen to us" and in our country such a level of security does not exist - he says.
