When I was told that I had Ebola, I thought I would not survive. I stepped into the land of no return and don't know how I won, this is how 26 year old Belgrade resident, M. S. begins his confession for "Blic", who got infected with the deadly virus while helping Ebola vicitims in Sierra Leone.

TWO DEAD FROM A MYSTERIOUS INFECTION: Infection taking lives in BG!

His story began on February 17, 2015, he did not feel well, he was exhausted and had a fever. In agreement with the doctors, he did a test

on malaria which was positive, and two days after beginning therapy his situation grew worse. He could not eat, drink, everything ached.

He says his temperature was 40 degrees, he had a headache, so much so that he thought that his head would explode, and he could barely make a few steps.

He remembers very little during his treatment, he was asleep, and what was left in his memory is of the tearful faces of his colleagues, covered by masks.

- The part I remember is my birthday. Briefly they woke me up to sing me a birthday song. The recovery after waking up is a story for itself. Hallucinations, pain, vomiting, difficulties breathing. Thanks to the drug, which my company provided, I managed to survive - says M. S.
