Two months ago, Telegraf wrote an  article about Travel agencies targeted by the state, and warned about the  travel agency  "Barcino tours", whose bus flipped over this morning at Bubanj Potok where one  person was killed and 61 passengers were injured.

The Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications after these inscriptions, quoted by other media, verified the numerous anonymous complaints about the tourist agencies, among which are agencies "Helena travel" and "Barcino tours".

Whether the complaints that were received are consequences of justified dissatisfied passengers or a showdown of competitors before the start of the tourist season, the tourist inspection quickly sought out answers in addition to other competent state authorities.

While we have no intention of  relating this accident and the complaints from citizens, we do raise the question: What should happen for the strict prohibition of unprofessionalism, negligence and "the hopefully it won't be me" system of work that ultimately led to the worst situation. Unofficially, at the height of the tourist season, just greed and negligence have led to, as rumored, individual agencies engaging bus drivers, who often within 48 hours spend 36 hours behind the wheel.

- In an anonymous report received by the tourist inspection, they argue that the agency "Helena" and "Barcino tours" have undeclared workers and avoid paying VAT, and that they did not pay income tax for the previous period. The reports indicated that these agencies did not fulfill their obligations on hotels to their Greek partner last year. There are claims that these two companies change villas for it to be difficult to trace the money from the arrangement - confirmed a source from Kurir.

The screening check on these travel agencies that was carried out was confirmed later in the Ministry.

- During the last year, the Tourist Inspectorate received 12 complaints from citizens against the agency "Barcino", and one against the agency "Helena travel." This year they received two additional complaints against these agencies, which are mostly related to the financial operations of the agency and the violation of  labor law and these applications were forwarded to the competent authorities. In all cases where the application of passengers referred to the failure of the  itinerary and when control inspectors found that the applications were justified, Inspectors have taken statutory measures. In the control of these agencies prior to the start of winter and summer seasons, no irregularities of competence from tourist inspections were confirmed - said in this ministry.

Vladimir Glišin from "Helena travel" confirmed then that competent inspection in the last two months controlled their business due to the anonymous complaints, "probably from malicious competitors," while Vladimir Bogićević from "Barcino tours" confirmed that twice last year the tax inspection controlled their function and that there was no problem.
