Veselin Jevrosimović: Computers will soon recognize us!
Veselin Jevrosimović: More and more ordinary things will be connected to the internet!
Here's what the owner of Comtrade had to say on the issue.
"Some technologies become a part of everyday life almost seamlessly, so if you do not reflect on them in a bit more detail, it may happen that you do not understand the progress they make and all their practical implications. Such is the case with facial recognition (lately and animals), even including the singling out of particular emotions, using computer software and appropriate hardware support. If you do not believe that we use this kind of "IT Future" every day, look at your smartphone or camera.
VESELIN JEVROSIMOVIC: The smallest computer in the world is smaller than a grain of rice!
Even the most basic models know how to recognize the person and automatically sharpen the focus, while the more advanced have the ability to perceive a smile and strike a "flash". Some webcams may use user recongition instead of passwords on computers, while others can follow you around the room while you are communicating.
Veselin Jevrosimovic: Scientists have created a cloth that can generate electricity!
In the listed examples, we are, of course discussing basic implementation, but they are illustrative enough that we can understand the idea and in our own personal example feel the benefits. More advanced cameras and software systems can find character-based images (this is commonly seen in crime series and movies), and similar solutions in the last little while are increasingly being used to manage user environments, which in combination with voice commands actually looks like a scene from a science fiction film.
This allows the so-called three-dimensional space mapping that in addition to cameras, use other types of sensors. Although there are still some technical hurdles, more and more large companies are investing in this area, which ensures rapid development and innovative applications for various devices, including robots. So do not be surprised when one day your computer recognizes that you are sad and tells you a witty joke to make you glad."
