DE PUTA MADRE: This is the most incredible man who has ever set foot in Belgrade!
Smiling, full of praise for his wife and family, a gastronome ... A real Italian ... However, from New Jersey.
He earned world success thanks to the TV show "Cake Boss" - but this has not changed him! The energetic and charming chef never forgot his roots and beginnings with his father in the now widely famous "Karl's bakery" ... Then he was only 11 years old.
After more than two decades of advanced training in baking and the opening of 10 bakeries, Buddy's family is still in first place, and the fact that this "TV star" may be able to buy tickets for a match ahead of the line does not make him feel bigger or better than all others.

Moreover, no amount of work would prevent him from giving his fan an autograph, picture, embrace or kiss ... That's exactly how he was like with a number of Serbian fans who squeezed through the crowd to welcome the promotion of the seventh season of the series "Cake Boss" in Usce Shopping Centre where Buddy chose the best decorated cake with the motif of "Devil's Town".
We began our conversation with him with a practical request, for him to share with us three tips that will make us successful people.
- Few people know that before I entered into the cake business, I worked in real estate and I was not poo ... So, in essence, this job did not help me grow from the bottom up. But, I'll give you three tips on how to become successful in the work you do - Buddy begins his story for Telegraf and continues - First , do not be afraid of success and never give up! Second, you must know that you will work very hard and third - you need to do good to received good!
Among the cakes in the form of a circus, football field and the solar system, wich was the biggest challenge?
- So far, the "Transformer" cake was the biggest challenge, by far! It was also the most awarded and my favorite cake so far. It was 2.7 meters tall, 3.4 meters wide and 4.2 meters long ... It weighed a ton, and 18 people made it for three whole days!
Which cake do you consider your biggest failure ?
- My biggest failure was the " Solar System " cake! The vision of what it was supposed to look like and how it turned out was quite the opposite! The idea was amazing, and then when we started to make it, it all fell apart! It was a total failure! Absolute horror!
How did you feel like when you saw it?
- Honestly? I was happy it was over! I felt horrible ... Although, everyone around me was happy, but my ego was hurt, because I am too hard on myself ...
Do you admit to having a big ego?
- Of course! Why wouldn't I...especially when my cake are in question!
There were strange orders...
- By far the most bizarre were certainly - the cake we made for vampires and the one we prepared for zombies ... I must admit that before we began making those cakes, I was a bit skeptical!
Do you still hold onto the rule that you do not make "erotic cakes" ?
- That's the only rule that we stick to! There are no requests that we would refuse except that. We do not make "erotic cakes" because my mom would kill me! She doesn't allow us to deal with pornography!
Your wife is definitely the happiest wife in the world? It seems to me that she does not even have to go into the kitchen?
- Not necessarily, but it certainly seems that way! She's a great cook, as you can tell by my stomach! I think she does it deliberately so I don't
appeal to other women (laughts).
You cooked for Rihanna, Britney Spears, Oprah Winfrey ... Who was the most challenging customer?
- I cooked for many celebrities. Some of them are so humble and wonderful people while others are stuck-up and have forgotten overnight where they come from...I wouldn't take a walnut from their hand... One of the most positive examples is surely Oprah Winfrey. Whenever I bump into her she asks me about my health, my mother...
You said your dream is to make a cake for the Pope. What would that cake look like?
- It would be in the shape of his magnificent hat or the Vatican ... That city is rich in history, and buildings - I wouldn't know where to start!
What do you know about Serbian food, drinks, people? Do we remind you of Italians?
- Yesterday I ate a traditional Serbian grill that I really liked... I can not wait to try brandy ("rakija") tonight!
Before parting ways, we asked Buddy to reveal his recipe for a cake that can be ready in 30 seconds and this is what he told us :
We remind you that the seventh season of "Cake Boss" on TLC begins in September.
