As tradition says, and this year's most popular destinations are Greece, Turkey and Bulgaria, but among Serbian tourists hot-spots is Spain

For the upcoming year, about 300,000 Serbs paid for their holiday arrangements on some of the popular tourist towns, and at least the same number of citizens is expected to go abroad. According to the staff in tourist agencies, arrangements for Greece and Turkey are in high demand, but also for Bulgaria and Spain.

A HELLISH SUMMER COMES TO SERBIA: TROPICAL DAYS without a drop of water are on their way. This is where the sun will FRY everything in sight!

Aleksandar Seničić, the director of the Association of Travel Agencies JUTA, points out that currently more than 50 percent of the summer arrangements are sold, writes the Informer.

- It is expected that for the upcoming summer, at least 600,000 people travel through travel agencies, and the most popular places are Halkidiki, and Ionian Islands like Corfu, Lefkada and Zakynthos - he says.

As anticipated, Turkey and Bulgaria sell well, but much to surprise, Spain is becoming more popular among the Serbs.

- For the past seven or eight, Bulgaria is one of the top destinations because of its proximity and low prices. A number of our people have chosen more expensive variant as the island of Mallorca in Spain, which requires about 500 euros per person - said Seničić.

A TRIP TO THE SEA FOR ONLY 9 euros: Serbian Railways with never better discounted prices!

On the other hand, some destinations have lost their popularity. For example, Egypt, Cairo, the Valley of the Kings and Tunisia, primarily because of safety, Serbs are no longer interested.

When it comes to transportation, tourists mostly hit the road with their own car or with the agency's transportation, while about 100,000 of them decide to travel by plane.
