MADNESS IN SARAJEVO BECAUSE OF THE POPE: The internet will be turned off, and the use of mobile phones - forbidden!
Since it is forbidden to travel by private vehicles, in Serbia, churches are organizing transport for their believers, a day in advance to prepare for this big day.
- There is a great interest to go to Sarajevo. We leave on Friday night so that we arrive early and prepare for the ceremony. Since we were told not to travel by private transport, the church has organized transport and accommodation. We return to Serbia as soon as the service is over, but for now, more than 300 people from our parish are going - according to the Church of the King of Christ.
As reported by Croatian and Bosnian media, around two thousand citizens from Serbia have confirmed their arrival, and the total number of believers who are expected in Sarajevo that day is expected to exceed 60,000. From Bosnia and Herzegovina about 34 thousand, from Croatia more than 20,000, and not a low number are coming from Macedonia and Slovenia.
Sarajevo, on the day of the visit of Pope Francis, who in a very short time managed to gain the sympathy of the whole world, will be under the siege of police and firefighters, and citizens during the ceremony will not be able to use the Internet or their cellphones.
Sarajevo residents have been notified in advance and will have to keep their windows closed, and during the passage of the column with Pope Francis they may not be on their balconies.
Pope Francis will reside in Sarajevo for 11 hours and on this occasion will visit seven locations. He and his entourage will take off at 7:30 from the airport in Rome, and head to Sarajevo where their expected time of arrival is 9 am. The welcoming ceremony at the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina will be organized at 9:30 am. The Pope will meet with the representatives of the civil authorities,Bishops and other religious at 10:10.

Arrival at the Kosevo stadium is planned for 10:40 am, after which the celebration and sermon by Pope Francis will take place. Meeting with
the priests, religious and seminarians is scheduled for 4:20 pm after which the Pope will head to the Franciscan International Student Center. The meeting of the Pope with the youth is scheduled for 6:30 pm, after which the Pope and entourage will be escorted to the Sarajevo International Airport. The return of the Pope in Rome is scheduled for 9:20 pm.
