Strong currents of the Danube dragged one dog  a few hundred meters away from the coast. The event took place near the Pancevo bridge, and the dog owner immediately  notified river police.

The owner of the Irish setter contacted the river police. by phone and asked for their help because the strong currents of the Danube suddenly dragged his pet away from the coast. The water carried the dog a few hundred meters away, as he unsuccessfully tried to swim in an attempt to return to the mainland.

Immediately upon receiving the call, a patrol sailed the Danube and came to the Pancevo bridge.

The patrol noticed the dog's head along the horizon waterline and followed through with the rescue operation. Luckily, the drama was quickly resolved thanks to the timely intervention of the officers.
