The monstrous murder of Mirela Batanović (20), a girl from Bosnia and Herzegovina, in October of last year when her boyfriend Aleksandar (27), of Russian origin, killed  and dismembered her in an apartment in Austria, receives an epilogue.

To accomplish his terrible plan, he sought information on the Internet, mostly on the legal consequences for the murder, then killed her. Aleksandar killed her in her apartment on the night of October 9th, 2014. On Mirela's body he carved an occult symbol, then dismembered her and ate her parts.

ORF, duration the investigation stated that the reason for the murder was not jealousy, but rather an occult ritual. Even though, at the preliminary hearing,  the killer said that he had to kill Mirela because she cheated on him, ORF has stated that this is not true. Mirela and Aleksandar, who is of Russian origin, dated for about a year and a half and he was insanely jealous.
