Dabanović has been working in the Medical School since the nineties. Students of the school, and the union, urged the administration to reinstate the teacher.

The president of the Podgorica Union of Education Slobodan Savović said that the organization would try to help Dabanović and Malidžan and doubts that procedures for dismissal were not respected. Most of the comments from the students supported their professor and petitioned her layoff.
"Reinstate the woman ... no big deal ... worse and immoral things happen when you shut down the camera," stated one of the comments.
