Amazing discovery: Serbs love Putin more than General Draza and Tito together! (PHOTO)
Vladimir Putin, Draza Mihailovic or Tito? All three are the names of strong, influential and frequently mentioned men in our country. There is almost no Serb who has not heard of them.
On the one hand, we have a great emperor, the country's president that most Serbs consider fraternal, and he loves the glory, while on the other hand, a leader of the Chetniks and name that has marked our history. There is also a Yugoslav revolutionary, military leader and statesman. All three giants occupy a very important place in our nation and it is very difficult to assess which one people love, praise and respect the most.
In search of an answer, we walked through Belgrade and asked citizens what they thought. Opinions were divided, but the result was a tie. While some supported Draza and Tito, others favored the Russian president:
THE PREMIER OF UAE ON A SECRET VISIT TO SERBIA: Ruler of Dubai strolling through Kalemegdan! (PHOTO)
- Putin is one of the greatest people in the world! A genius Russian brother! Our people are so similar, it's unbelievable. I spent a year in that country and I can safely say he really is among the world's strongest and historical rulers.
There were those who fervently cheered and defended Mihailovic. However, we found the response in the souvenir shop at Kalemegdan, where we asked the seller whose figure was purchased the most.
The answer surprised us:
- T-shirts and cups with a picture of Vladimir Putin sold double than those on whom is Dragoljub Mihailovic. In the last year a swarm has occurred. Tito's souvenirs are stagnating - they are being sold as always. - Explained the young man who stood at the booth.
He added that foreigners are buying souvenirs, but also our people, to give leave them with memories of the capital of Serbia or of a special moment.
In addition to these souvenirs, a lot of Russian characteristic items are being bought:
- The top five best-selling items include babushka, Serbian and Russian flags, hats, forage caps - Shaykache, and footwear- Opanci.
