Partizan reveals its debt, and how much it will never be able to collect !

Partizan Football Club goes public with the exact figures of their operation in 2014. The conclusion: Partizan is a loser and if there is no organizational and financial turnover, they will „ go over the red line“ and that would not be good , said the member of the club's Board from Humska Ivan Maricic.

According to the last checking, the total debt of Partizan Football Club is 14.9 million euros, and their claims are 6.8 millions, but they can only collect 2.8 millions!

Many businesses, like Galenika, or clubs like Zaragoza are going through per-packaged sale or bankruptcy and as such they are not solvent, therefore, Partizan can hardly expect to collect the money that belongs to it.

Maricic highlighted that the club will focus on work with the junior academy in the upcoming years and that they will get resources for financial consolidations from there.

– We have to put serious efforts to improve making players so we could endure this rhythm of costs. It will be necessary to qualify for the Euroleague or the Champions League. I believe in the genetic potential of this nation and our trainers' expertise. If I didn't believe in this happening,  I wouldn't be here, or in Partizan: I believe that we can attract more supporters to the stands – the official of Partizan is being optimistic.

Of course, the making and selling of players will not be enough for them to get back on their feet. It will take a place in one of European competitions, so the club can ensure money from UEFA, which paid 2.2 million euros in 2014 to Partizan based on their placement and results in the Euroleague.

Maricic said that the previous administration was recording constant losses that “the current administration has to deal with now”. He added that the club discussed reducing the salaries of the players so they could reduce expenses, but they gave up that idea quickly, and the conclusion was that it would jeopardize sports results.

Just on contracts and players' salaries they spend most of the money annually, 62 per cent, or 800 million dinars.

The club also allocates a lot of money for employees under labor contracts (183 millions), lease of apartments for players (30 millions), cost of maintaining the filed (22 million dinars), travel expenses (29 million dinars), preparation (33 million dinars), maintenance of the field (72 million dinars)…

In 2014 they earned 475 million dinars (3,9 million euros) from the transfer of players, mostly from the sale of Milos Jojic to Borussia, Nemanja Radonjic to Roma and Marko Zivkovic to Vojvodina. Also, Partizan profited last year from a lucrative transfer of Lazar Markovic to Liverpool by earning 975,000 euros, from previously arranged percentages.

High-quality sports equipment and food, and indispensable aspects in the development of young players are high expenses that make 20 per cent of the Partizan's funds.
