Surgeons of General Hospital Uzice performed 140 operations of  breast cancer and found 46 new cases of patients since the beginning of the year.

Dr. Edin Mutevelić, one of three surgeons who treat women with breast cancer, says Zlatibor district area  excels in the number of patients with this illness. However, Uzice hospital is an institution with the lowest percentage of death from the same disease.

- Breast cancer has become a real monster. Of the 105 patients in the department, 30 are suffering from cancer, six of which have cancer of the breast. Of 19 operations a day three or four of them are breast cancer.
