According to Vesić's words it is part of the center planning strategy, due to the tourist season and it is planned that in the next four to five years, the entire area between Zeleni Venac, Republic Square, Brace Jugovic and Pariska Street is turned  into a pedestrian zone.

As Vesić said, the goal is that this part of the city becomes attractive for tourists and for those who want to open stores and restaurants.

"Beograd put" has chosen a contractor for all the works that are to be done on Knez Mihailova Street, said Vesic and added that it comes to repairing the broken panel. Changing of panels won't take longer than two weeks.

- We expect the works to begin in June. There are some planned for the area around "Pobednik" statue on Kalemegdan, too - said Vesic and added that the planned replacement of approximately 1,300 square meters of granite slabs and installation of new plates will help the plateau look great.
