Here is what is required for obtaining a residence permit and how much it costs

If you are looking for a job, Norway is the right place for you! But before that, you have to meet a very strict set of conditions. Norway is seeking engineers, teachers, nurses, as well as bus drivers, cooks and waiters, and the average salary is around 4,500 euros.

If you want to work in Norway, you need a residence work permit, and to get it you first need to find a job that has a solid job offer.

The average salary is 36,700 kroner (NOK) or 4,384 euros and is among the highest in Europe.

The waiter-chefs can make up to 3,200 euros, paramedics 3,800, civil engineers 5300, IT engineers 5,400, pharmacists 6000 euros,welders 3,800,  drivers 4,000,  physicians 7,500, painters 3, 000 and electricians 4,000 euros.

Food in Norway is more expensive  in comparison to other European countries by a whopping 62 percent. Renting rooms cost anywhere between 500 euros and 800 euros for a studio. A one bedroom apartment can rent for 1.1oo euros, and a two-bedroom for 1300 euros.

Formal education must be equivalent to vocational training in Norway. If authorized diplomas are required, they must be accompanied by the original and a recognized license when it comes to healthcare personnel. If you want to work as personnel of a staffing company, you must submit a list of duties that the employer has already planned for you to perform, as well as evidence that your diploma is recognized in Norway.

For authorization,  you will require a passport, diploma, detailed plan and program of your education with a list of items, practices and topics covered through education as well as proof of passing the specialist exam.

In order to obtain a residence permit you must first pay a fee to apply for the permit, which is about 350 euros. The residence permit is obtained for a period of one to three years, and after three years you can apply for a permanent residence.

In case you lose your job, you can stay in Norway for six months to look for another. If you want to be a seasonal worker in fishing, catering,

tourism or health, the employer must obtain a certificate from the NAV that it is not possible for him to find enough workers from the EU and Norway for this job.

You cannot be a seasonal worker for longer than six months for a period of one year.
