Serbian President described the drama in the broken plane - we were dropping like rocks!
The flight on which Tomislav Nikolic flew to the Vatican was returned to Belgrade due to engine failure, it was confirmed for Telegraf in the office of the President of Serbia, as a result, the Serbian President's visit to the Vatican was canceled.
How our portal has learned, the malfunction occurred on the engine of the government's "Falcon", which has been the reason for several canceled visits of Serbian Ministers.
- The engine on the plane "Falcon 50" that the president flew to the Vatican in, stopped working over the Adriatic Sea. The aircraft, which was located at a height of 10,000 feet languished almost two kilometers, but thanks to the experienced pilots avoided misfortune - learned Telegraf.
- Only thanks to the great professionalism and exceptional skill of our pilot that we avoided a tragedy. Believe me when I say, that we were tumbling like rocks at one point - reports "Novosti" as told by Stanislava Pak, adviser to the President of Serbia, who was also in the government plane with the head of state. She said that the aircraft's motor broke down over the Adriatic Sea and that's where their heavenly thriller started.
- Believe me, I'm still in shock and, as far as the Presidency is concerned, we will continue to use regular airlines. We'll celebrate this day as our second birthday - says Stanislav Pak.
In addition to the head of state and Stanislava Pak, the "Falcon" housed the President's advisers John Mrkic, Oliver Antic and Jasmina Mitrovic Maric.
- We survived a horrible real-life drama in the air, and I can safely say that President Nikolic and his associates landed unharmed in Belgrade only thanks to the incredible peace of mind and skill of the pilot and copilot - testifies to "Novosti" the adviser of the Serbian President Ivan Mrkic of the one hour drama they survived.
- We departed from Belgrade around 8 o'clock and suddenly, around nine o'clock, one engine gave up. The aircraft became unstable and began shaking, we were literally flying around within the plane. I contend that we are alive only thanks to the pilot!
Mrkic notes that the plane has been flown for 34 years, and that he has personally survived various incidents in it.
