In no-man's-land between Serbia and Croatia, you will find the "declared" smallest "independent sovereign state" in the Balkans, with a surface area of seven square kilometers.

2,000 SERBS APPLIED TO LIVE IN A NEW STATE NEXT TO SERBIA: Here is how you can do it

THE PRESIDENT OF LIBERLAND means business 'global investors want to invest in my country, we're talking 20 billion dollars'

It is called "Liberland", in which it's "president", Czech, Vit Jedlicka invites all those who respect the principle of "live and let live", and are not extremists.

"Liberland" lies on the banks of the Danube, between Backo Monostora and Zmajevac.

Jedlicka argues that "the state" was created entirely in accordance with international laws, because it is based on the no-man's-land whose demarcation did not seek neither Serbia nor Croatia.

The aim of the founders of the new state is to create a society in which honest people can thrive, and a state that is not making their lives difficult with unnecessary restrictions and taxes. One of the reasons for the establishment of Liberland was the increasing influence of interested groups on the functioning of the state and worsening living conditions for people. Founders are inspired by Monaco, Liechtenstein and Hong Kong - as written on the official site of the new "state"

Vit Jedlicka, from the fringe right wing party close to the former Prime Minister and President of the Czech Republic, Vaclav Klaus, expressed that "an independent, sovereign Liberland" must first recognize Serbia and Croatia, to which it is preparing to send a diplomatic note to, and that it would recognize other countries of the world.

"Liberland" has a flag, a coat of arms, a "constitution" and "laws", and although the flag was unfurled at the beginning of this week, they are already handing out "citizenship" and inviting all, provided they are not communists, neo-Nazis or extremists, in addition to those criminals punished for serious offenses.
