A GRAND HISTORIC MOMENT: A Holy Fire is in Belgrade! (PHOTO)
On Holy Saturday, for the first time in the history of Serbia, in Belgrade arrived a Holy Fire from the Temple of Christ's Resurrection in Jerusalem. This was specially delivered to Belgrade and Serbia through a special flight from Tel Aviv.

21:15 - THE HOLY FIRE HAS ARRIVED IN SERBIA
A Holy Fire from Jerusalem has arrived in Serbia! It was delivered two hours later than expected by a special plane from Tel Aviv, specifically around 9 pm, instead of the earlier expected arrival, due to bad weather conditions at the initial airport.
A spokesman for the Information and Publishing Company SPC Demetrius Stikić said that the plane was delayed for two hours due to bad weather conditions in Jerusalem, even though, it was initially announced that it was to arrive at the Belgrade Airport at 7:30pm.
A large numbers of leaders of the Serbian Orthodox Church (SOC) and reporters have gathered tonight at the Belgrade's "Nikola Tesla" airport to await the arrival of the Holy Fire.
Representatives of the Serbian Orthodox Church, who came to the airport from all dioceses held special lanterns in their hands.
These lanterns are to be divided among the believers, upon the arrival of the Holy Fire, that are to be transferred over to many Serbian churches and monasteries around the world where Serbs live.
Thousands of Orthodox believers gathered today in the Old City of Jerusalem around the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, where they attended the burning of the Holy Fire, which
symbolizes the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The Holy Fire, or flame is lit every Good Friday on the eve of Easter, when the Jerusalem Patriarch enters the crypt with 33 candles symbolizing the number of years of the life of Christ.
This event, which is considered the greatest miracle in the Holy Land, is attended every year by representatives of all other religious communities in Jerusalem.
