Tender for Vinca to be launched in July
Solving the problem of the biggest landfill in Belgrade, which handles around 1,500 tons of waste every day, began as early as in 2007, and the project was restarted last year in collaboration with the World Bank, Vesic said.
- It will be the first major public-private partnership in Serbia, worth between EUR 250 and EUR 300 million,- he said.
A recent investment conference held in Belgrade on the matter was attended by representatives of 52 companies, which proves how interesting the investment is, Vesic said.
- We will launch a tender by June or July at the latest, and by the end of the year we will have a company that will manage the landfill,- Vesic announced.
I hope that Belgrade will really become a green city and one where the environment is cared for, the city manager said.
