Vekaric: Finding missing persons is A MUST!
An association of families of people kidnapped and murdered in Kosovo-Metohija on Tuesday marked 17 years since the first anti-Serb crimes, and deputy war crimes prosecutor Bruno Vekaric said that the primary objective is to find those kidnapped and punish the perpetrators.
Our primary objective is to find them and try to get those who committed those crimes - we are looking for the 115 perpetrators of all those crimes, and those files also include the people shown in these photos, Vekaric said standing next to an improvised "Wailing Wall" where the families displayed the photos of 2,500 kidnapped and murdered people.
In that sense, it is very important that a special court be established for war crimes committed in Kosovo, which may be expected to happen in the summer, Vekaric noted
Simo Spasic, a representative of the association, also noted the significance of setting up the court.
In the March 17, 2004 pogrom, ethnic Albanian terrorists intended to finish what they had started in 1998, he said.
