Serbian village declared a state of emergency when they ran out of cigarettes!
Villagers of Igriste, 20 kilometers away from Kursumlija demanded that the authorities clear the road to village because its people are without tobacco.
The residents called the Kursumlija county to come to their aid and clear the road to the village, which is 20 kilometers long.
However, when they were asked what was the emergency they were honest and they said that there is no more tobacco left.
The resident of Igriste Zivota Jevremovic said that there's snow above one meter high in the village, and there are some snowdrifts above three meters, and that this situation lasts for more than three days.
The president of the county Radoljub Vidic said that the clearing of the roads is done by the system of priority, and it wasn't Igriste's turn yet.
- It is true that they called us because they are in the need of tobacco. We did not take it into consideration. We had sick people out there on the field, even one pregnant woman, we cleared the roads day and night in order to provide the medical aid to people. We had some false claims from several places, but Igriste was at least honest. It is not that urgent, so they can wait for the snow to melt - said Vidic.
