ONCE AGAIN DISASTER AWAITS: Here is what the only metheorologist that survived the horror of the floods has to say! (PHOTO)

Metheorologist igor Kovacic was the only one who predicted the snow and floods on time and now he claims that we are in for a new danger. We give to you the assessment  he published on his facebook account.

Synoptic situation: Cyclone circulation has been assembled on all heights in south Adriatic region and our areas are at its north. By the end of the period we can expect gradually north currents. In the base the frontal zone is coming in waves over our east and south areas, while the western areas are in the reach of the north cold current.

Weather: Cloudy, windy, lot of precipitation and rain in all areas, especially in Herzegovina, also snowy in mountain areas as well as lower parts.

The whole day is going to be cloudy with lot of precipitation. Even more precipitation during the night at the west, southwest and south. We can expect snow everywhere but higher mountain ranges and low hilly areas. Snow threshold is around 400 m altitude, lower in the west. At the east and northeast it will rain during tomorrow morning.

During the day we can expect snow with the forming and growth of the snow. The estimated amount is 10-30 centimeters, a lot higher at the mountain areas, somewhere may reach even higher than 30. Only in the north, northeast and the east will there be conditions of lowering the height of snow cover. In the afternoon and in the evening snow will continue to fall, especially in the east where it may cross the height of one meter. At mountain crossings there are conditions for possible snowdrifts and intensive winds.

There will be an increase of precipitation in the south of Herzegovina, over 100 liters of rain, and in the upper Herzegovina there will be sleet and snow. Yugo wind will intensify in Herzegovina and southeastern winds will intensify in other areas.

There will be weak and moderate wind blowing from the south, then it will vary. Northeastern will intensify as we approach the night and on the south there will be moderate southeastern winds. Morning temperatures will be 0°C on the west and up to 4°C on the north and northeast. In the central mountain range from -5°C to -1°C, on the south to 6°C. The highest daily temperatures from 1°C to 5°C, on the south to 7°C and in the central mountain range from -4°C to 0°C.

Cloudy with heavy rains in the first part of the night, and in the second and in the morning, sleet and snow. During the day snowy and in the hilly areas there will be forming of snow cover.In lover areas there will be snow in the afternoon and in the evening. The total amount of precipitation will be from 40 to 70 l/m². Moderate wind, temporarily strong and blowing from northeast. The morning temperature around 1°C, and highest daily temperature around 2°C, decreasing towards the night.

Weather forecast for the next three days

Friday (6th of March): Cold and snowy. Most precipitation will fall in the central range in the east and in these areas the snow cover will grow. In the south and far southwest and west precipitation will stop. Morning temperatures from -3°C to 1°C, in the south 3°C, in higher areas around -5°C. Highest daily temperatures from 0°C to 4°C, in the south up to 8°C, in the central area below zero, at higher altitudes -4°C.

Saturday (7th of March): Cold morning with frost everywhere except northeastern and southern areas. In the central mountain range area some weak snow, moderate in the east where snow cover will slowly rise.

In other areas moderate, cloudy, chance of some snow or sleet. During the day dry, except the central mountain range where there will be some occasional snow. Morning temperatures from -4°C to 0°C, in the northeast and south up to 2 °C, in higher altitudes around -8°C. Highest daily temperature from 1°C to 5°C, in the south up to 9°C, in higher ranges -4°C.

Sunday (8th of March): Cold morning with frost that will be more intensive in higher areas. Partially cloudy in the far west and northwest, southwest and south. In other areas will be partially cloudy, central mountain range cloudy and still with occasional snow or sleet. During the day dry except the central mountain range where will be occasional snow. More sun in the south, and the weather will vary in the west.

Morning temperatures from -6°C to -1°C, in the south up to 1°C, in higher areas around -10°C. Highest daily temperatures from 1°C to 5°C, in the south up to 10°C, in higher mountain ranges -4°C.
