Obama is coming to Belgrade in autumn!

After Nixon, Ford and Carter, the chances are that  Barak Obama is going to be the next president to visit Serbia. It was John Kerry who promised to Ivica Dacic that he will tell Obama about our minister's invitation.

It was more than 30 years since the last president of the USA visited Serbia. Before that, Tito was hosted  three of them.

At their meeting in Washington, Kerry showed support to the Brussels' Dialogue, reforms in Serbia, leadership steps towards the Balkan's stability and showed good will towards relations with Serbia.

- I think this was great acknowledgment to Serbia, and also great satisfaction for everything Serbia did for the last couple of years - Dacic stated.

Although these visits are political manifestations, according to historian Momcilo Pavlovic, everyone that can read the language of politics can see that the younger George Bush visited Tirana, Ljubljana and Zagreb, supported secession of Kosovo, and avoided Belgrade.

- These actions are symbolic, and this is exactly why this potential visit from Obama shows to Moscow too that Belgrade is not only their emotional and political sphere, but also that the America too claims its numerous fans. - Pavlovic concluded.
