Members of the new government led by Djuro Macut take oath in the Serbian National Assembly

Prime Minister Djuro Macut and his cabinet ministers took the oath last evening in front of the members of the National Assembly of Serbia, by which the term of the new government officially started.

The ceremony was also attended by President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic.

The text of the oath reads: "I swear to loyalty to the Republic of Serbia and I pledge with my honor to respect the Constitution and laws, to perform my duties as a member of the Government conscientiously, responsibly and with dedication and to be committed to the preservation of Kosovo and Metohija within the Republic of Serbia."

The prime minister and members of the government signed the text of the oath and handed it over to President of the National Assembly Ana Brnabic, thus ending the special Assembly session convened on Tuesday to elect a new government.

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance is Sinisa Mali, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Internal is Affairs Ivica Dacic, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy is Adrijana Mesarovic.

The oath was also taken by Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Dragan Glamocic, Minister of Environmental Protection Sara Pavkov, Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Aleksandra Sofronijevic, Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka Djedovic Handanovic.

The new Minister of Internal and Foreign Trade is Jagoda Lazarevic, Minister of Justice Nenad Vujic, Minister of State Administration and Local Self-Government Snezana Paunovic, Minister of Human and Minority Rights and Social Dialogue Demo Berisa.

Minister of Defense is Bratislav Gasic, Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Djuric, Minister of European Integration Nemanja Starovic, Minister of Education Dejan Vuk Stankovic, Minister of Health Zlatibor Loncar, Minister of Labour, Employment, Veteras and Social Affairs Milica Djurdjevic Stamenkovski, Minister of Family Affairs and Demography Jelena Zaric Kovacevic, Minister of Sports Zoran Gajic, Minister of Culture Nikola Selakovic, Minister of Rural Affairs Milan Krkobabic.

The new Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation is Academician Bela Balint, Minister of Tourism and Youth is Husein Memic, Minister of Information and Telecommunications Boris Bratina, Minister of Public Investments Darko Glisic, and ministers without portfolio Novica Toncev, Djordje Milicevic, Usame Zukorlic, Nenad Popovic and Tatjana Macura.
