Brnabic: President will address citizens in the afternoon! The topic is something Serbia is still debating
National Assembly President Ana Brnabic has said that Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic will address the citizens in the afternoon, most likely starting at 5 pm, when he will present the results of the the findings of Russia's FSB regarding the alleged use of a sound cannon during a protest in Belgrade, held on March 15.
"I don't know if the term has been definitely confirmed, because the president has a lot of obligations. I also hope that today we will finish the discussion about the PM-designate and his proposal for a new government, so I know that he must be present at the oath taking ceremony, but he will certainly speak this afternoon," Brnabic told Happy TV.
She said the main reason for the address will be an analysis done by the Russian FSB, regarding the alleged use of a sonic device.
"So, let's see if it's true, or if it's a lie that it happened. As far as I know, it (the report) was signed by Putin's intelligence chief Aleksandr Bortnikov, so there is no lie there, no deception. These are the most serious types of analyses by one of the best security services in the world, but I don't know what the results are," said Brnabic.
According to her, those results will put an end to that story.
"I know that a sonic cannon was not used. I know that anyone who is honest and who thinks for themselves at this moment, regardless of whether they support the government or not, knows that a sonic cannon was not used and that a sonic cannon was in fact something that someone invented in order to attack Serbia," said Brnabic.
She added that the president will probably talk about other topics as well, given the enormous pressure he is under because of the invitation to attend the Victory Day ceremony in Moscow.
"You see incredible blackmail, if he goes, he and Serbia will pay, which is not clear to me, because I guess everyone knows what happened 80 years ago, everyone knows who won and who lost, and such relativization would be catastrophic for the future of the freedom-loving world. Because some truths are unquestionable, they do not depend on the era and circumstances, they are absolute truths," said Brnabic.
