The meeting was a part of the consultations the president is holding in order to select a candidate for Serbia's next prime minister.
Outgoing Prime Minister and SNS leader Milos Vucevic addressed the public from the Palace of Serbia.
"Our coalition believes that we should go for electing a new government (in the Assembly) by the April 18 deadline, and we have informed the president about this. The party will make a decision on its candidate and I will inform the president about it within 24 hours," said Vucevic.
The shortlist is now down to two names, the leader of Serbia's largest party revealed on Thursday.
