President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic said last night that he is very concerned about the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and that arresting any politicians from the Serb Republic (RS, Serb entity in BiH) would be a disaster.

He also said that as he visits Brussels on Wednesday, finding a way to lower tensions will be discussed.

"I am very worried about the situation, what is happening in BiH is a big problem - a warrant has been issued for Dodik, Viskovic, Stevandic. I will do my best to talk with (NATO Secretary General Mark) Rutte, so that we can find a way with the Europeans to reduce tensions, return to normal," Vucic told TV Pink.

Asked what would happen if one of the politicians from the RS were to be arrested, the president said that it would be a complete disaster.

"I hope that no one is crazy enough to do something like that. If EUFOR received such an order, to arrest someone, that is a complete disaster for all of us. We can end up in a disaster overnight," Vucic said.

On Tuesday, a trilateral memorandum on cooperation in the field of defense was signed in Tirana between the defense ministries of Albania, Croatia, and the provisional Pristina institutions.

"Croatia has a powerful army. We understood them, we are worried about what they are doing, but we have our own doctrine with which we will manage to fight and preserve stability," the president said.

Earlier, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina issued arrest warrants for RS President Milorad Dodik, Prime Minister Radovan Viskovic, and President of the RS Assembly Nenad Stevandic.

According to the Sarajevo court, they are suspected of the crime of "attacking the constitutional order of Bosnia and Herzegovina by adopting secessionist and anti-constitutional laws prohibiting the work of (BiH) state institutions in the RS."
