President of the Assembly of Serbia Ana Brnabic said today that she has faith in the Serbian Army and in the patriotism of its members, but that the issue of preparations for a military coup is not a question for the military, but for the University of Belgrade.

"This morning I did not have the opportunity to talk to Prime Minister Milos Vucevic, to inquire about the army. I have faith in the Serbian Army. Here, I will only say this much. I really believe in the army, I believe in the Serbian Army with all my heart. I believe in their patriotism, I believe in their state-building quality, I do not have a single doubt," said Brnabic, answering questions from journalists at the Palace of Serbia, during a press conference on Friday.

She stressed that this (the recordings that have surfaced) is not a question for the army but for the University of Belgrade.

"Who gave the University of Belgrade the right to contact the Serbian Army in order to arrange a military coup? Who? Who from the University of Belgrade - the honorable rector (Vladana) Djokic, the honorable deans - who is preparing a military coup, a coup d'état and a civil war in the Republic of Serbia?," Brnabic asked.
