A public prosecutor with the First Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade has ordered the police to determine the identity of the currently unknown perpetrator, accused of committing the crime of causing panic and disorder.

The case concerns a fake report about a bomb being planted in the Serbian National Assembly.

After establishing the identity of the perpetrator, the public will be informed about further actions, the prosecutor's office announced.

A call was received last night stating that there was a bomb in the Assembly and Interior Minister Ivica Dacic also addressed this.

"Tonight around 8:47 pm, the 192 system received a report that a bomb had been placed in the National Assembly. Counter-subversion teams were immediately dispatched to the scene and will carry out a complete inspection of this facility," Dacic said last night, before it was established that the report was fake.

The police teams then searched the premises of the Assembly and found no suspicious items.
