President of the Serbian National Assembly Ana Brnabic today called on the deputies from the ruling coalition to stay in the Assembly building after 6 pm, and clean up the mess caused by the opposition during an incident this morning.

"I am asking all people's deputies to stay in the Assembly after the end of today's work, and let us clean up this mess. It is not the cleaning ladies' fault and duty to clean up the eggs, tear gas and smoke grenades! We will clean it up. We have been cleaning up after you for 12 years anyway, so we'll do it one more time today!" said Brnabic, referring to the opposition.

Earlier, deputies from opposition parties caused the incident because they disagreed with the agenda, and when some of them headed towards Brnabic, the security prevented them from reaching her.

Opposition deputies then started activating the pyrotechnics, filling the hall with smoke.
