Vucic speaks with Erdogan: "We had constructive and friendly conversation on numerous topics"
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic congratulated Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on his 71st birthday during a telephone conversation on Tuesday and wished him good health and success.
"I congratulated President Erdogan on his 71st birthday, wishing him good health and continued success in leading the Republic of Turkey in these difficult times. We had a constructive and friendly conversation on numerous topics related to both our successful bilateral cooperation and the global challenges we face.
We considered further strengthening the dynamic economic cooperation as well as that in the field of infrastructure and energy security. We touched on the issue of economic cooperation, with the focus on encouraging investment and developing capital projects in strategic sectors, as well as promoting tourism between our countries. It is a great honor for us that Turkey has confirmed its participation in EXPO27, confident that its rich cultural heritage will significantly contribute to the quality and diverse content of the exhibition, of which we are the proud hosts.
I also congratulated President Erdogan on the successfully held congress of the ruling Justice and Development Party in Ankara and the achieved results that will further contribute to ensuring peace and stability in the country and the region. Bearing in mind all the challenges the world is facing, it is clear that our good relations are of great importance for the further development and stability of the Balkans and the wider region. We are convinced that by working together we will continue to contribute to peace, stability and prosperity in our countries and on the international stage," President Vucic wrote on Instagram.
