China's Xi writes to Serbia's Vucic: "I assign great significance to development of our countries' relations"
President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic has received a letter from President of China Xi Jinping, in which he emphasized that he attaches great importance to the development of Sino-Serbian relations.
Xi added that he is ready to make efforts with Vucic to jointly strengthen strategic communication, continuously reinforce mutual political trust between the two countries at a high level, the Serbian president's press service announced.
In the letter, Xi also states that he is ready to make an effort and to fully promote the potential of cooperation in all areas, to build a community between China and Serbia with the goal of a common future in the new era, in order to contribute even more to the process of modernization and the well-being of the people of our two countries.
At the same time, Xi thanked Vucic for his best wishes on the occasion of the Chinese Lunar New Year, and emphasized again that China and Serbia are connected by their ironclad friendship that is deeply rooted in the peoples' hearts.
"During last year's successful state visit to Serbia, we exchanged opinions in detail and reached a broad consensus. We jointly announced the construction of the China-Serbia community and a common future in the new era, which raised Sino-Serbian bilateral relations to a new historical level."
"Faced with a complex international situation, China and Serbia are committed to the prosperity and development of their countries and firm preservation of international justice and fairness, which contributes to strengthening the forces for building a community with a common future for humanity. Please accept my best wishes, Your Excellency," the Chinese leader said in the letter.
