Out of control bus mows people down at New Belgrade stop: Pregnant woman among 11 injured
A large number of people were standing at a stop or were on board the lines 71 and 601 city buses, when a serious collision took place in Zemunska Street in Belgrade today, resulting in injuries sustained by as many as 11 people, who are treated at the Emergency Center!

The buses caught up with each other at the stop, and according to eyewitnesses, one driver completely lost control of his vehicle and drove into the crowd of people waiting at the stop.
Those in its way fared the worst. Eyewitnesses said that a teenage girls ended up under a wheel, which is why firefighters were called. People were especially worried about this girl, and in the meantime, information came out that a pregnant woman was among those injured.
"One bus was at the stop, and the other, coming from the direction of Surcin, hit it at high speed. It's not known whether its brakes failed or what, but it was terrible. The driver of one of the vehicles was seriously injured, he was pinned down and got taken away by the emergency services," says a woman who saw the accident unfold this morning.
"A young man who thought he was feeling well was helping others, but he then suddenly felt ill, his neck stiffened and they took him to the hospital," said one lady who was additionally shaken by the fact her son was at the stop when it all happened.
11 injured persons have been admitted to the Emergency Center and they are in stable condition.
