Serbian Prime Minister Milos Vucevic set to resign
Prime Minister of Serbia Milos Vucevic will resign today, Tanjug has learned.
Vucevic will hold an unscheduled press conference starting at 11 am in the Government of Serbia.
Sources close to the prime minister stated earlier that Vucevic was this morning shocked by an event in Novi Sad. Students organizing blockades there announced on their Instagram account that a group of their colleagues was attacked by unknown persons last night and that one girl was seriously injured.
The blokada.ffuns account stated that her jaw was dislocated and that she had injuries all over her body, and that several other students had minor physical injuries.
The prosecution also reacted with a statement:
"In relation to the events during the night of January 27/28 that took place in Novi Sad, we inform the public that in connection with the attack on a group of students G.K., K.S. and V.A., the Basic Public Prosecution in Novi Sad gave a legal qualification that there are grounds for suspicion that the criminal act of violent behavior referred to in Article 344 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code has been committed, as well as the criminal offense of inflicting grievous bodily harm from Article 121 of the Criminal Code."
